Yoga is one of the physical activities that we like to do at home. Getting up at dawn and practicing Yoga as the first activity of the day can be a delight and help us stay active for the rest of the day.

However, starting to practice at home, without a teacher can be complicated. Luckily, there are very complete applications that help us, as well as videos that guide us in our training. Here we bring you some of our favorite Yoga videos to train at home.

Of course, and how could it be otherwise, the first recommendation is our Youtube channel. Within our channel we can find videos that will help us with our fitness workouts, but also routines and videos to help us in our Yoga practice.

Elena Malova is a personal trainer and yogi who both in her Youtube account and in her blog shares complete and diverse workouts. In her account we find original, fun and varied Yoga workouts.

If your purpose for 2020 is to do more sport and you have chosen Yoga to carry it out, you are probably in a sea of doubts about what type of Yoga to choose, how many days a week you have to practice it, how much time you have to dedicate to Yoga, what clothes you will need, etc.

If you are a beginner, perhaps the best option to start is Hatha Yoga: this type of Yoga, which is usually the most practiced both in studios and gyms, is a slow way each of the asanas or postures that we must carry out during the class, thus achieving a good isometric work (without movement) of strength.

If what you are interested in is a more «moving» and «fitness» type of Yoga, both Ashtanga Yoga or Ashtanga Flow and Vinyasa Yoga are a good option. In both types of Yoga classes are usually more dynamic, as the different asanas are linked with each other forming different sequences without stopping too long. The movement and its combination with our breathing are basic in these classes.

Downward Facing Dog or Adho MukhaThis is another classic yoga posture as it is used to perform a general stretching of the whole body and is part of the Sun Salutation sequence of postures. To do it we have to kneel on a mat and bring our arms and body forward until we are in quadruped. From this posture, with our hands open and resting on the floor and our legs apart, we stand on the tips of our toes and push our pelvis upwards, while stretching our arms and legs. Our body forms a triangle and the head is down, with hands and feet resting on the floor.

Tree or VrikshasanaThis posture is also ideal for beginners as it helps to acquire balance and concentration. To perform it we have to be standing, with feet together and arms along the body. We will take one of the feet with the arm and bending the knee we will color it in the inner area of the opposite leg, we keep it and we go up both arms until joining the hands at the top. The look to the front and hold the position for about 8 breaths. Once finished, we repeat with the other leg.
